Everest North

Everest North is an exploration project on the eastern limb of the Bushveld Indigenous Complex. An agreement is in place between Sylvania and Aquarius Platinum South Africa (AQPSA), which looks likely to result in a joint venture whereby Sylvania would mine PGMs and AQPSA would process them, with the production ounces and profits being split accordingly.

Location: Mpumalanga Province, 60km east of the town of Groblersdal
Ownership: Joint venture between Sylvania Platinum and AQPSA
Resources: SAMREC-compliant Measured Resources of 773 000 PGM ounces. (Please refer to Appendix 10 of the latest Venmyn Competent Personís Report)
Mining method: Open-pit
Mining rights status: Mining Right application to be submitted
Access and infrastructure: Combined tarred and all-weather dirt road connecting mine site to R577 regional road from Mashishing (Lydenburg) to Roossenekal, adjacent to existing processing plant at Everest South
Developments: Scoping Study and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) currently in progress
