Sylvania Dump Operations

The Sylvania Dump Operations (SDO) currently include five fully operational chrome tailings processing complexes, Millsell and Mooinooi on the western limb of the Bushveld Igneous Complex (BIC), and Lannex, Steelpoort and Doornbosch on the eastern limb. A sixth, Tweefontein, is currently in development.

The concept and technology of the Sylvania Dump Operations were based on the successful design and operation of the Chromite Tailings Re-treatment Plant (CTRP) at Kroondal, on the western limb.
