Location: North West Province, 27 km east of the town of Rustenburg
Ownership: 100% Sylvania Platinum
Comprises: Chrome tailings re-treatment plant recovering chrome concentrate and a PGM flotation plant recovering PGM concentrate. A second plant treating run of mine material from the MG2 chrome seam of which chrome lumpy and concentrate is recovered followed by a PGM flotation plant for PGM recovery
Safety record: Zero incidents/lost time injuries to date
Access and infrastructure: Tar roads, through the towns of Rustenburg, Mooinooi and Brits connecting complex to the N4 national highway
Feed sources: Mooinooi mine chrome tailings dumps, current arisings from the nearby Samancor Mooinooi Plant and ROM material from the Samancor Mooinooi MG2 shaft
Production capacity: 64,000 tpm of combined dump material, ROM and current arisings
PGM prill split: Pt=64.3%, Pd=25.1%, Rh=10.2%, Au=0.3%
First year of full operation: 2011
